{"id":704,"date":"2018-04-22T03:18:28","date_gmt":"2018-04-22T03:18:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/?p=704"},"modified":"2018-04-22T03:18:28","modified_gmt":"2018-04-22T03:18:28","slug":"saturday-6-pack-april-21-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/?p=704","title":{"rendered":"SATURDAY 6-PACK: April 21, 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/?attachment_id=700\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-700\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-700\" src=\"http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Theme-A-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"177\" height=\"118\" srcset=\"http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Theme-A-300x200.jpg 300w, http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Theme-A-768x512.jpg 768w, http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Theme-A-1024x683.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/maybegoosefeathers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Theme-A-588x392.jpg 588w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 177px) 100vw, 177px\" \/><\/a>A weekly listing of articles, audio clips, and other tidbits I\u2019ve encountered that seemed interesting, insightful, or otherwise useful <\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The dominant stories in the week concerned James Comey\u2019s press tour to promote his book \u2026 a storyline that culminated in the release of the memos he wrote after encounters with the Current Occupant of the Oval Office \u2026 none of which reveal much of anything that wasn\u2019t known beforehand.\u00a0 The Current Occupant kept an atypical low profile, aside from the usual early morning insult tweeting \u2026 not injecting himself into the Starbucks incident or Barbara Bush\u2019s\u00a0 funeral \u2026 content to go golfing with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe \u2026 and make a big reveal that current CIA Director Mike Pompeo met with Kim Jong-un in North Korea weeks before being named as the next Secretary of State.\u00a0 (Confirmation of that \u2013 as well as for his intended replacement at the CIA \u2013 is still very much up in the air.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here are smaller things \u2026 and better thoughts from the week that was.\u00a0 Starbucks started it so, let\u2019s start there.\u00a0 I\u2019m well aware that for a lot of people, Starbucks is THE coffee shop (maybe because you can have your coffee shop anywhere you happen to be), but I\u2019ll take a non-standardized neighborhood coffee shop over any Starbucks any day \u2026 even before last weekend\u2019s bad optics from Philly.\u00a0 The arrest happened <span data-term=\"goog_1168491825\">back on the 12th<\/span>;
